About DanielDaniel Chacon believes in the boundlessness of the human spirit. Over the years, he's worked hard as a fighter and trainer, earning respect in the martial arts and fitness community. Daniel has mentored students, teachers, and athletes across the country. He enjoys inspiring others by sharing his life experiences. He loves traveling, painting, dancing, but most of all, he loves teaching. As a kid, he was overweight, shy, and often bullied. A native of Argentina, his mother brought him and his older brother to the United States so that they could have a shot at a better life. For a few years, adjusting to his strange new home was a challenge, and he was the victim of schoolyard bullying. Although his family was not financially wealthy, they were rich in love, kindness and creativity. One day at the gym, he was running on a treadmill and saw a group of guys practicing martial arts. They asked him if he wanted to join. He's been hooked ever since. Through martial arts, Daniel built up his self-confidence and learned the value of respect towards others. Anything that’s worth having requires hard work. After a few months of training, he fell in love with the art of Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and self defense. Daniel immediately gravitated towards Muay Thai's no nonsense approach. There's not a lot of ornamental movement, and every strike has intent. After a year of training, he competed in his very first Muay Thai match, defeating his experienced opponent via unanimous decision. He dedicated the next seven years to being a Nak Muay (a fighter.) In his journey he's also fought in Mixed Martial Arts, Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing matches. He has been taught by the best coaches and in top gyms around the country. He desired to further expand his education by training a little over a month in Thailand, the birthplace of Muay Thai. Daniel always finds valuable lessons in each win and loss. Fighting has helped him conquer his fears, and now he wants to teach others how to face their own. Qualifications and Credentials
